"'23rd March 2020, The Day shit went tits up' 🙃

👉 Today marks one year since the start of the UK’s first lockdown. The measures were the toughest restrictions on our way of life in living memory. Back then, less than 1,000 people had died. That figure has now risen to 126,000.

⚰️ To remember the victims, some are calling for 23rd of March to become a national #covidmemorialday

🕛 This evening, the end of life charity @mariecurieuk are encouraging members of the public to stand on their doorsteps with phones, candles and torches to signify a ‘beacon of remembrance’.

📍WORD ON THE STREET📍posted this image already last year, but it would like to thank @cjmanford again for taking it in Queens Park, Harpurhey, Manchester, 09.2020.
