So... I drove down to Laredo yesterday, and as I strolled through San Augustin Plaza, I noticed that the San Augustin Cathedral was being remodeled. Aaand I couldn’t help myself! ( I used the under construction sign as cover! ) apologies to Bishop James Anthony Tamayo, but it’s better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission!#prayingwashinghands #prayinghands #covid19graffiti #coronavirusgraffiti #covid19art #coronavirusart #laredostreetart #laredograffiti #missionwithoutpermission #federicostencil #graffitiwestern #austinartist #prayerinaction"

Description

Hands folding in prayer, evoking Christian imagery. Soap bubbles and water are visible on the figure's hands, transforming prayer into hand washing. In the context of President Trump's declaration that a "miracle" will come, this image reminds us that hand washing is a scientifically proven way to kill the virus.
