Description
A semi-abstract mural in the center of Vienna critiques the impulse towards hoarding groceries in the COVID-19 crisis. With the artists' tag—RUIN—stylized in the background, the piece juxtaposes an empty shopping bag attributed to Billa (one of the major grocery chains in Austria) on the left and another shopping bag overflowing with groceries on the right. A caption in the middle reads "closest to yourself," an explicit critique of the egoism of people hoarding supplies in the crisis.
