From Laura Adams: "My Dog Sighs has created a series of ‘hug’ posters that he is dropping as free art drops all over his home town, posting some out too, and also did a big mural of the same ‘hug’ design." From his Instagram on 2020-03-30: "In these socially distanced times, it seems a hug is a luxury that has been taken away from many. In order to address the balance a tiny bit, over the next 50 days I’m planning on ramping up my #freeartfriday giveaways and will be leaving one hand painted Everyman out every day, either on the street (as part of my daily exercise) or as part of a postal online giveaway. In order to minimise risk to everyone, I will not be posting clues. I’ll post pictures of them a few days after they were left to ensure they’ve been ‘stumbled across’ while sensibly following government guidelines on physical exercise and social distancing. (They’ll be placed out with gloves hands). Keep an eye on my social media for opportunities to win a free hug. #besafe #hug #hugs #everyman"

Description

The artist's signature boxy stick figure with arms stretched out wide for a hug, accompanied by text reading "hug." The figure is is rendered in black and white against a colorful background. Although this is already the artist's signature work, the hug takes on new significance of social distancing.
