What a strange place our little planet has become. I feel it resembles more and more a blockbuster movie each year, but without the certainty of a Hollywood ending. It seems this one is going to illuminate the best and worst of humanity, and put the fragility of our system to the ultimate test.
Thank god I live where I do! Immense gratitude to everyone on the front line. You are all heroes! 🙏💪
We will get through this of course. It’s been done before. But keep in mind, fear spreads like a virus to, and it is in states of fear that the worst decisions are made. So instead of worrying about what’s out of our control, let’s get all the best ideas on the table before the bad ones, and envision the world we want to emerge on the other side of this shit-show.
And if that fails, just blame China ;-) – joke"</dcterms:source>

Very humbled to be among the many outstanding muralists who have contributed to #makeartwhileapart during these days of quarantine. Enormous gratitude to @drewstuff and @vanmuralfest for trusting me with this wall. My thanks continue to my endlessly supportive wife @abbyelise28 who rolled up her sleeves and helped in every way she could. The artwork would not have been completed without generous contributions of skill and time from @yourfriend.jj, @aomoussa and @ewangeib and the support of my home studio @publicdesignvancouver and @susanmavor. Lastly, there are no words to thank the people on the front line doing their essential part. While it’s personally a thrill to have this wall completed, for the sake of everyone in this city I’ll keep my fingers crossed the murals are short lived. #pullingthroughtogether"</dcterms:source>

<dcterms:source>From the artist's Instagram: "Over the last few days I have been wheat-pasting “Mask Bears” onto boarded up storefronts in San Francisco. They are now in the Castro, Pac Heights, and Hayes Valley.

To me, wearing a mask is about caring for others. A mask won’t prevent you from getting sick, but if you are sick and don’t know it — contagious but not symptomatic — it can help prevent the infection from spreading. We are all in this together, and we need to get out of this together.

These boarded up stores are depressing. I long to sit down in a restaurant again, get my hair cut again, go to the art supply store again. But until that happens, we might as well use the boards as canvas for art. Instead of bringing our spirits down, they should lift our spirits up. There are now 13 different Mask Bears out and about. If you are feeling cooped up, consider going out for a walk and seeing if you can spot them all!

I hope this finds everyone safe and sane.
