The most extreme opposition to public health messages about COVID-19 takes the form of flat-out denial that the pandemic is real. The first two of these images, from New York, USA and Rotherham, England, convey not only doubt about the authenticity of the crisis, but suspicion that someone is intentionally perpertrating a "hoax" on the public-- most likely the government, as suggested by the hostility directed toward UK prime minister Borris [sic] Johnson in the second image. The third image, from Nairobi, Kenya, states plainly that "Corona is real," a declaration aimed directly at a disbelieving audience.
