Urban Art Mapping: Covid-19 Street Art

Divided We Stand, United We Fall

This wheatpaste image is derived from the famous I Want You for the U.S. Army poster by James Montgomery Flagg from World War I (illustrated in 1917). The original illustration was inspired by a British War poster of 1914 by Alfred Leete titled Lord Kitchener Wants You. This updated version has the same goals as the original image, that is to inspire a disparate population to come together to fight a common cause impacting the whole world, in this case Covid-19 rather than a world war. As this work by TV Boy appeared at the beginning of the lockdown in Spain, its rallying message was particularly pertinent.
