YOU’RE DOING AMAZING, SWEETIE! ✨ Guys, I’m overwhelmeddd...The response to this mural has been so enthusiastic and supportive and my heart is so full. I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to paint my quirky mural at 1092 @robsonstreet for @vanmuralfest’s #MakeArtWhileApart project 🙠Over the 3 days it took to paint I met a lot of new people and heard over and over the sentiment of appreciation for all of the incredible art that’s been going up across the city to beautify boarded up businesses and how it’s been lifting people’s spirits. I’m really honoured to be a part of a movement such as this during unusual times, and so proud of all the artists in our community that stepped up in various ways to bring life back to our city through messages of hope, and encouragement. Being able to contribute and engage in meaningful ways through art is really what it’s all about!
Special shoutout to the peeps for helping me make this happen > @bort.jp for assisting me like a BOSS on Day 1, @priscillayuart for moral support/ladder and projector, @brotherjopa for schooling me in the doodle method when we realised the projector couldn’t be plugged in😅and for general VMF project management/support (+ @toddchrispy), @drewstuff for trusting me with a wall, and @bylucasjames for driving me everywhere, always.
